One MANS Opinion: Episode 130 – A Positive Environment

Jeff Mans is riding solo this week and recapping everything we learned from the first three weeks of this NFL season. This week Jeff is joined by a special guest, fantasy sports Hall Of Famer Scott Engel. Scott opens up about his life in and around fantasy sports including how winning a contest for Knicks tickets changed the trajectory of his life and career. Mans & Engel reminisce about playing the sports simulation game Strat-O-Matic and how the game fanned their love for fantasy sports. The guys discuss the early days of SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and what led up to the epic feud between their two shows. They talk about the legalization of sports betting has put a much greater responsibility on sports analysts and media personnel these days. Scott & Jeff eventually discuss some of the biggest surprises of the first two weeks of the 2022 NFL regular season before giving out their survivor picks, best bets, and upsets of week three.

One MANS Opinion: Episode 128 – The MANS Cave

The NFL regular season is here and Jeff Mans opens the show by giving a dozen of his week one NFL and fantasy football takeaways. He also gives first impressions on the first 24 overall picks in fantasy football and how they performed in week one. This is an excellent exercise to see who is and isn’t paying off their fantasy price tag early in the season. Jeff also reveals the future of sports entertainment in the MANS Cave, a Discord chat room with video, voice, and text capabilities. The MANS Cave is the play of fantasy, daily fantasy, and sports betting Zen, where we root for each other, learn from each other and escape the toxicity of other social media outlets. Mans then moves on to his week two thoughts by revealing the bounce-back and regression players at each skill position. The 2022 NFL regular season is here and before the games officially kick off, Jeff Mans “puts it on tape” by going game by game through this season and making his official predictions. From division winners to win-loss records, playoff seeding, postseason award winners, and even the Super Bowl 57 Champion, Mans breaks down the entire season in this episode. He also has two big announcements on how to win money and prizes this season playing daily fantasy contests that will not cost a nickel. Since it is the last week of the draft season, Jeff presents his annual list of “stupid deep” sleepers who are only viable in the deepest of fantasy football leagues this season. Then he spends some time answering questions from the Fantasy Guru dot com NFL discord chat including questions about drafting players on the same team, diversifying roster builds in multiple leagues, and a variety of keeper questions. Jeff begins the show by discussing some of the latest news coming out of NFL training camp including the Buccaneers signing veteran WR Julio Jones and Rhamondre Stevenson getting first-team reps in Patriots camp. Then he goes over how he plans on attacking each position in fantasy football this season while giving out his list of targets and fades for each one.
