One MANS Opinion: Episode 97 – Holiday Spirit

In the spirit of the holiday season, Jeff Mans reveals why exactly he loves Christmas so much. He talks about how his parents would always make the most of the holidays despite not having that much to celebrate with. This leads to a rant in which he discusses the start of his fantasy sports career and some of the tough decisions he has had to make along the way. There are some changes taking place at Elite Sports Betting too which Mans outlines and gives context to as well. After a huge week 12, he looks ahead to the starts and sits across fantasy football this week including a pair of very underrated running backs. The great Ray Flowers joins Jeff Mans on this special Thanksgiving edition of One Mans Opinion. With so much negativity in the world today, the guys decided to stay positive and discuss some of the things that make them happy in this chaotic world. They also share their fondest Thanksgiving memories where we see the drastic difference between Jeff & Ray’s upbringing. Eventually, the boys get to recapping the dud that was week 11 in fantasy football and specifically in DFS. Since they only did a Core 4 on the radio this week, Mans gives the podcast listeners a treat with his main DFS lineup for the Thanksgiving Day slate. Ray helps us make some tough fantasy football lineup decisions during the start/sit segment which develops into an interesting comparison between two Los Angeles Rams receivers. The duo closes the show as always with their favorite survivor pick of the week, the best bet and the most likely upset of week 12.

Then we get his reactions to the big news surrounding Derrick Henry’s injury, Calvin Ridley stepping away from football, Henry Ruggs' fatal car accident, the drams with Odell Beckham, Michael Thomas season being over and Aaron Rodgers faking being vaccinated. Pappy also shares his disappointment of a wasted NFL trade deadline which shows why the same organizations always seem to win. It isn’t all news however as Mans also discusses his week nine starts & sits, his survivor pick of the week, favorite NFL bet, and the upset special.

A frustrating week of life and fantasy football sent Jeff Mans into a tailspin over the weekend. But he is back at it and ready to discuss everything that led up to his meltdown and how he was able to get back on track. The self-reflection period also taught him why he loves his job and the support he receives from those around him. Week seven was the first losing week of the DFS season and Mans reveals why that might have been the best thing to happen this season.
