One MANS Opinion: Episode 87 – Cancelled

Jeff Mans is not afraid to talk about the most pressing topics of the day and he puts that to the test here by going head-on into the Jon Gruden email scandal. He gives his thoughts on Gruden, going through old emails/social media posts, and cancel culture as a whole. He then answers listeners’ questions via his Twitter “Ask Mans Anything” in which he discusses everything from fantasy football trade to DFS strategy to his favorite concert that he ever attended. Eventually, Mans gets to his favorite starts and sits of week six in fantasy football including some tips on how to identify potential game scripts. As always, he wraps it up with his favorite Survivor picks, best bets of the week, and his weekly upset special.

One MANS Opinion: Episode 86 – DFS Lineup Review

By popular demand, Jeff Mans begins this episode with a review of his cash game lineup from week four including how he settled on the core four and why certain pieces fit better than others. There is a huge game theory lesson uncovered in this conversation also as it pertains to highly owned players and their ultimate impact on our DFS lineups. He then previews week five in fantasy football with his weekly starts and sits where we get some advice on how long to stick with players who are struggling in the early going. After a perfect 11-0 run in NFL betting last week, Mans tries to run it back by giving out his favorite plays for survivor contests, his favorite bet, and upset of the week. Give or take the relationship advice herein, this episode packs a full punch of fantasy football analysis.

One MANS Opinion: Episode 85 – Limited Good

The great Ray Flowers joins Mans for this episode as the guys discuss the early season returns in fantasy football including the performances that are for real and those that scream of variance. Jeff admits to having an emotional reaction to the loss of a colleague and friend this past week and discusses how these events makes him realize that life it too short to be unhappy. Ray points out the negativity on social media is really testing a lot of our mental health these days and offers a few ways of dealing with it besides becoming angry. As the guys get back into football talk, they discuss the low production of running backs so far this season and why rookie QB’s have gotten off to a miserable start in 2021. Ray offers some advice to those closing out fantasy baseball championships while Mans gives us his survivor pick, best bet, upset and low-key waiver wire RB to pick up this week.

Jeff Mans is riding solo this week and recapping the highs & lows from NFL week two.  The disappointment of Miles Sanders combined with the heroics of Derrick Henry sends Mans into a rant that is sixteen years in the making as he urges people that if they want fantasy football success, just follow his lead. He also reveals his start in the Hall of Fantasy League (HOFL) where his handling of the two QB draft was questioned but has produced some surprising results thus far. Jeff also explains why knowing your opponents is such a big part of seasonal fantasy, DFS, and even sports betting. After a smashing success of week one, Mans brings on one of the newest members of the Elite Fantasy content team in Chris Rose. Chris talks about what it was like growing up in South Florida, playing sports, and eventually moving to Connecticut to play college football. The guys discuss the massive advantage of knowing the intricacies of the game of football has in playing fantasy at a high level. Jeff and Chris discuss their mutual admiration for one another’s work despite working for separate companies. The duo then recaps NFL week one including their hits and misses in daily fantasy and betting. They also preview week two by dissecting a couple of their favorite teams, games, and players going into the week.
