One MANS Opinion: Episode 90 – News

It has been a news-filled week around the NFL and Mans is reacting to every controversial story out there on this week’s episode. First, he gives an update on how he is doing post meltdown and thanks everybody for such incredible support through the last couple of weeks. Then we get his reactions to the big news surrounding Derrick Henry’s injury, Calvin Ridley stepping away from football, Henry Ruggs' fatal car accident, the drams with Odell Beckham, Michael Thomas season being over and Aaron Rodgers faking being vaccinated. Pappy also shares his disappointment of a wasted NFL trade deadline which shows why the same organizations always seem to win. It isn’t all news however as Mans also discusses his week nine starts & sits, his survivor pick of the week, favorite NFL bet, and the upset special.

One MANS Opinion: Episode 89 – Meltdown

A frustrating week of life and fantasy football sent Jeff Mans into a tailspin over the weekend. But he is back at it and ready to discuss everything that led up to his meltdown and how he was able to get back on track. The self-reflection period also taught him why he loves his job and the support he receives from those around him. Week seven was the first losing week of the DFS season and Mans reveals why that might have been the best thing to happen this season. He goes over the fringe players to start and sit for week eight as well including a breakdown of the Green Bay Packers wide receiver situation. Finally, he reveals his survivor pick, best NFL bet, and the upset of the week.

As we head into one of the most challenging weeks for fantasy football in week seven, Jeff Mans breaks out his secret weapon that he calls the Fantasy Football Depth Chart. The chart gives an accurate measurement of every NFL players' real value in fantasy for the rest of the season. This chart will help you with lineup decisions, roster moves, trades, and which players you can safely cut during these trying bye weeks. Mans also gives an update about his future on Twitter and offers his review on the latest Apple iPhone. Jeff Mans is not afraid to talk about the most pressing topics of the day and he puts that to the test here by going head-on into the Jon Gruden email scandal. He gives his thoughts on Gruden, going through old emails/social media posts, and cancel culture as a whole. He then answers listeners’ questions via his Twitter “Ask Mans Anything” in which he discusses everything from fantasy football trade to DFS strategy to his favorite concert that he ever attended. By popular demand, Jeff Mans begins this episode with a review of his cash game lineup from week four including how he settled on the core four and why certain pieces fit better than others. There is a huge game theory lesson uncovered in this conversation also as it pertains to highly owned players and their ultimate impact on our DFS lineups. He then previews week five in fantasy football with his weekly starts and sits where we get some advice on how long to stick with players who are struggling in the early going. After a perfect 11-0 run in NFL betting last week, Mans tries to run it back by giving out his favorite plays for survivor contests, his favorite bet, and upset of the week. The great Ray Flowers joins Mans for this episode as the guys discuss the early season returns in fantasy football including the performances that are for real and those that scream of variance. Jeff admits to having an emotional reaction to the loss of a colleague and friend this past week and discusses how these events makes him realize that life it too short to be unhappy. Ray points out the negativity on social media is really testing a lot of our mental health these days and offers a few ways of dealing with it besides becoming angry. As the guys get back into football talk, they discuss the low production of running backs so far this season and why rookie QB’s have gotten off to a miserable start in 2021.
