One MANS Opinion: Episode 67 – The Seige

The one and only CJ Kaltenbach (aka The Seige, misspelled on purpose) joins Mans on this episode, and the duo dive right into an enormous 90+ minute chat. We get the full story of how CJ got into fantasy sports, starting out in the DFS industry, and what it was like to hang out at the bar with Jeff. We also find out why the Seige gave up a career as an attorney to play fantasy sports for a living. The guys tell stories of their worst DFS beats, the worst trolls on social media, and how they wound up working together at Elite Sports. This entire show is entwined during a spirited fantasy football mock draft for Fantasy Guru in which CJ and Jeff went to war over a certain rookie running backs value. This is one of the longest and most argumentative episodes yet!!

Jeff goes round by round addressing all of the notable good and bad picks made this year. He also reveals that the Chicago Bears' drafting of Justin Fields caused him to lose a bet in which he had to strip naked in front of a Livestream audience. Mans also addresses the Aaron Rodgers trade/retirement rumors and shows us a timeline on why we should have seen it all coming.

Russell Clay joins Jeff on this full-on preview of the 2021 NFL Draft. The guys discuss all of the differences leading up to the 2021 Draft compared to years before including players who sat out their final season of college, limited player interaction, and no scouting combine numbers.  Jeff & Russ discuss which QBs they would draft for the Jaguars, Jets, and 49ers while getting into a heated Mac Jones versus Justin Fields breakdown. Jeff Mans is previewing the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft by breaking down the proper way to evaluate and assess college football players. Mans goes over each position and gives a line-by-line tutorial of what he looks for out of each player when watching his film and which metrics matter and which are just pure noise. He also gives a breakdown of every NFC front office and discusses who exactly is in charge of each team’s draft, what positions they draft the most/least, and what each of their success/bust rates is.
