One MANS Opinion: Episode 289 – First Look 2026
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
Since there is technically no real NFL game this week, Jeff Mans is thinking ahead to the 2026 NFL season. He reveals some of the teams and situations to watch out for and breaks down his first wave of fantasy football positional rankings for next season. There are quite a few surprises in there, including one running back who wasn’t in the top 100 of players in 2025, who Jeff says “could be his number one overall in 2026.” Just because he is looking ahead doesn’t mean that Mans doesn’t have quite a few takeaways from the AFC and NFC Championship Games. The Patriots may have had a nice schedule, but that doesn’t take away the fact that they outsmarted the Broncos when it mattered most. The Seahawks are a well-oiled machine who may have finally figured out their offense 21 weeks into the season. Mans also has comments on some of the new head coaching hires across the NFL and a stunning reaction to Bill Belichick being left out of the Hall of Fame in his first attempt. He also gives a few “first thoughts” about Super Bowl 60 and what both the Patriots and Seahawks need to do to win the big game. Jeff Mans is recapping a wild Divisional week of the NFL Playoffs, including his thoughts on the controversial calls in the Bills/Broncos game and an almost magical ending of the Bears/Rams contest. The ending of the Chicago Bears' season has Mans feeling nostalgic about his hometown and wondering aloud why sports fans are so different in Chicago. He also gives a preview of the AFC and NFC Championship Games coming up this week with matchups to fade and attack in fantasy, DFS, and betting. The NFL coaching carousel continues to spin, and Jeff provides his thoughts on all of the latest hires, including Kevin Stefanski to Atlanta, Robert Saleh to Tennessee, Jeff Hafley to Miami, Mike McDaniel to the Chargers, Drew Petzing to Detroit, and David Blough’s promotion in Washington. Mans also ranks the top 16 quarterbacks in the NFL right now and discusses why there are only eight that are true “franchise QBs” and why this supply is so shallow. As always, he provides his survivor pick of the Championship Round and even a player prop to go along with it this week.
