One MANS Opinion: Episode 196 – A Beginners' Guide to the NBA

Jeff Mans is joined by Fantasy Guru’s own NBA analyst Justin Fensterman for an all-encompassing NBA discussion this week. The guys talk about the similarities between the NFL and the NBA including how the fantasy, daily fantasy, and betting elements seem to sync up. Fensty announces his brand new SiriusXM show called “Elite Sports Game Time” with Ray Flowers and gives us a preview of it as well. The guys give out their advice on dealing with the NBA’s rest issue and how we can gain significant advantages in the betting world by using this information. The 2023 NFL season is officially over with the Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl 58.  Jeff Mans takes us through all of his takeaways from the big game and the entire season as a whole in this week’s episode. Jeff has thoughts on everything from Reba stringing out the National Anthem to Jason Kelce’s appearance at the afterparty’s on the Las Vegas Strip and everything in between. He reviews all of his bets and DFS plays from the Super Bowl and discusses what made this game one of the single most profitable of his career. Mans also has a pair of big announcements to make regarding his SiriusXM show and even a bonus show that can be heard on that network in the near future. It’s the biggest sporting event of the year and Jeff Mans has you covered. In this episode Jeff is covering every angle of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers from how they were built to where they were back in their last SB meeting in 2017. Jeff gives out some of his favorite Super Bowl party games, food, drinks and other ways to make the big game enjoyable. Super Bowl 19 was the first one that Mans can remember so he takes a trip down memory lane giving out his favorite moments from every single Super Bowl from 1985 on. He discusses the oddity of the 49ers being favorites while all of the money is coming in on the Chiefs and speculates on why Vegas is siding with San Francisco. Finally, he gives out a few of his favorite bets for the big game including his single game parlay and a couple of prop bets that range from sharp to completely random.

A jumbo-sized episode this week and Jeff Mans sinks his teeth into the fallout from both AFC & NFC Championship Games last weekend. Another Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl appearance has the NFL world debating whether Patrick Mahomes is already the greatest QB or player ever. Mans weighs in with his thoughts and recaps what the biggest differences are between Mahomes and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. Is Dan Campbell to blame for the Detroit Lions losing the NFC Championship Game? Jeff says absolutely and gives his breakout of why. He also addresses the cheating scandal that has washed over the fantasy community this week as one of the high stakes organizations had an employee caught cheating red handed. Jeff Mans has a lot on his mind this week and tries his hardest to keep on track throughout this episode. He starts out discussing why he has turned to NBA betting now that the NFL season is mostly over. He explains how powerful it is to identify an edge in fantasy, daily fantasy and betting with any sport and expresses just how profitable that can be. Mans also recaps all four NFL Divisional Round Playoff games from last week and gives his unfiltered takeaways for both the winners and losers. Because transparency is so important to him, Jeff spends some time breaking down his daily fantasy football results from 2023 including how his “DFS NFL Core 4” performed overall this season. Jeff Mans is fired up after a terrific opening round of the 2024 NFL playoffs. He gives game by game takeaways from each of the Super Wildcard Round games including what went right for the Texans, Packers, Lions and Bucs and what went wrong for the Browns, Rams, Dolphins and Eagles. As promised, Jeff reviews his preseason predictions on how all 32 NFL teams would fare this season and compares them to what really happened. He also gives one “best” moment of the season and one “worst” moment of the season for each team along the way. There was a lot to be learned from this season and it is important to identify where we went right and where we went wrong in that analysis in order to get better. Then Mans heads into the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs to give his predictions on all four games including upsets, sleepers and locks of the week.

One MANS Opinion: Episode 190 – The Justin Fields Dilemma

Jeff Mans is in playoff mode this week as he dives into the “season for winners” portion of the NFL year. As he always does, he “puts it on tape” this week with a game-by-game breakdown of his 2023-24 NFL playoff predictions including who the Super Bowl 58 champion will be. In this episode Mans is giving the most detailed and informed synopsis of the Chicago Bears conundrum with QB Justin Fields. Should the Bears keep the third year QB or should they trade him and draft USC star Caleb Williams (or another QB)? There have been a lot of opinions given already on this topic but Jeff is diving into every angle of it in order to provide the best course of action for the Bears. In fact, he provides a very simple yet detailed solution that would appease every side of this argument.

The first episode of 2024 starts off with a bang as Jeff Mans reveals the 2023 Fantasy Football Most Valuable Player Awards. He gives one player at each skill position the hardware and provides the reasoning why each player was truly the most valuable for fantasy football players this year. Jeff also provides a runner up at each position including context on why the winner was ultimately chosen. Mans also gives a passioned speech to the fantasy sports community begging for them to reexamine playing fantasy football leagues through week 18. The NFL has changed so much in the last decade that ignoring those changes has become a real problem to the fantasy game. The final show of 2023 has Jeff Mans feeling nostalgic about what has been a rough and tumble year personally and in sports. He reflects on some of the bigger storylines of the calendar year and looks ahead to what he believes will be one of the best pure sports years yet in 2024. Mans also gives his thoughts on the recent Dez Bryant controversy concerning a female football analyst. He discusses the real struggle that is diversifying the fantasy sports industry as well as the obstacles he himself has faced in trying to do so. Jeff also reviews the 2023 fantasy football season by going over what he has learned about each of the skill positions and how league setups need to change beginning next year. While its slim pickings in survivor at this stage of the season, he does have a few bets in mind for the final Thursday Night Football game of the year to pass along too.

In his annual holiday episode, Jeff Mans discusses his favorite holiday in every way possible. Mans has compiled over 20 “Top 5 Lists” surrounding the Christmas holiday and reveals everything from his favorite traditions to his favorite movies to his favorite Christmas memories and so much more. There is plenty of football talk here as well as Jeff recaps a wild week 15 which saw a ton of star players either get hurt or lay goose eggs on the field of play. He also makes the case for why Falcons head coach Arthur Smith has to go at the end of the season and gives the list of other NFL coaches who should be getting the boot as well. As the fantasy playoff ramp up Mans compiles is week 16 sleeper list too as he identifies the players who could bring home the gold this week despite their struggles this season. As always Mans has a week 16 preview with survivor picks and his Thursday Night Football bet of the week.
