One MANS Opinion: Episode 257 – Longest Episode Ever

Jeff Mans did not intend to record the longest solo episode in One Mans Opinion history, but that is exactly what happened this week. He covers a ton of angles, including Aaron Rodgers signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers and JK Dobbins signing with the Denver Broncos. Now that the 2025 NFL Draft has concluded, we can put all the incoming rookies together and rank them for our fantasy football purposes. Jeff Mans goes over his rookie rankings position by position and reveals the players he is higher and lower on than most other players. Jeff also discusses the importance of remaining true to your convictions and reminds us that in fantasy sports, DFS, and sports betting, we are competing against other people to get the results that we want. So, it does not make much sense to try to play the same game as our competitors. Although it is a thin QB class, there is one later-round quarterback that could wind up being the best of the group. At RB, Mans cannot believe that Sean Payton’s selection to lead his Broncos is not getting more attention in fantasy football. He ponders what Jaguars WR Travis Hunter’s value is as “only” a receiver and whether he is being over-drafted because of his name and draft stock. Jeff Mans could not wait to do a recap from the 2025 NFL Draft so he is recording this episode immediately after its conclusion. Obviously the biggest story from the draft was the historic fall of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders who many thought would be a first-round pick and wound up being drafted in the fifth round. Mans dives deep into what was behind this freefall and whether it was talent, race, conspiracy or entitlement that was responsible for it. He also sounds off on a poor draft by the Chicago Bears who paid a huge premium for 50 or so receptions a year in Colston Loveland. The first one is what he would do if he were in charge of each NFL team. The second mock draft is what most likely will be the picks on Thursday Night. For each team, Mans reviews what the most significant needs are, what history tells us about the presumptive pick, and which players fit the current offensive/defensive system best. He also discusses the fantasy football impact of each pick and how it will impact his rankings this season. Then it is time to revisit the last five NFL Drafts (2020-2024) and see where the best players in the NFL right now were selected.
