One MANS Opinion: Episode 235 – Merry Championship

In the final episode before the Christmas holiday, Jeff Mans shares some of his stories about why this season and holiday mean so much to him. A very special One Mans Opinion this week as this episode will also be simulcast on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio on Thanksgiving Day!  In this TWO-HOUR episode, Mans gives out the best rest-of-season schedules for QB, RB, WR & TE from a fantasy football point of view. This information helps us get our lineups set for the upcoming fantasy football playoffs. Then he provides the best WR coverage matchups for week 13 per the SMASH Report on Fantasy Guru dot com, which includes a very familiar CB that we are attacking once again this week. Mans breaks down the best offensive line versus defensive front matchups, too, which gives us a good indication of running back success for the week ahead. After back to back winning weeks in daily fantasy football, Jeff gives a preview of his DFS NFL Core 4 that will be revealed on Friday’s Elite Sports Show and also in his Cash Game Breakdown on Fantasy Guru. Do not worry. Jeff Mans does talk a whole lot about football in this episode, but he has some non-football things to get off of his mind first. This includes a reading from the famous Teddy Roosevelt speech “The Man In The Arena,” which motivated Jeff this week and throughout his life. He discusses the difference between having beliefs and tearing others down. Mans also goes to bat for anyone who has ever taken the “cash out” of a bet, relationship, or business deal with some stories from his own life that shows moderate gains can amount to a very profitable life. On the football side of things, Jeff recaps another Jets loss and the subsequent firing of the General Manager. The improvements that the Bears and Caleb Williams made this week. Then he tries to get to the bottom of why Saints “TE” Taysom Hill is the single most beloved player in NFL history. Seriously. Try not to be turned on too much by Jeff Mans’ raspy voice this week, as a medical issue has him sounding more like Barry White than a geeky fantasy football guy. This week, Jeff is recapping NFL week 10 by breaking down the problems with the Jets, the return of Christian McCaffrey, and the Bears firing coaches already. Despite some DFS NFL cash game struggles this season, Mans had a revelation this week that spurs a much larger conversation about the state of each skill position in fantasy football this season.
